Joyce is the Pastry Chef and co-owner of joyce bakeshop. Her passion for food came about from various influences in her formal and informal training. Joyce’s education in foods and flavors started in her family roots, while her education in arts and culture was cultivated as a graduate of Vassar College. She fell in love with French pastry when she refined her baking technique at the French Culinary Institute in New York City. She continued her pastry education in New York City kitchens that included the historic River Café in Brooklyn, NY, and Abigail Kirsch Catering in NYC. She continues today to explore her appreciation of food in her own kitchen. The diverse and extensive menu of the bakeshop is a selection of house favorites, whose recipes have been tested and retested to perfection.
